Six years that shaped who I am today - from a nervous newcomer to a confident leader
I still remember how nervous I was that first day. Everything was so new and intimidating. But I quickly learned how to adapt to regimental life. The early morning parades, the physical training, the discipline - it was tough, but I mastered the basics and found my rhythm.
This was when things started shifting for me. Suddenly I wasn't the new kid anymore - I was responsible for helping the junior cadets find their way. It felt strange at first, being looked up to, but I discovered I actually enjoyed mentoring while pushing my own academics forward.
I surprised myself this year. I never thought I'd be the debating type, but there I was, speaking in front of everyone. And running - I discovered I actually had stamina for long distances. The competitions pushed me in ways I didn't expect, and I loved every minute of it.
This year I got curious about everything. Science projects suddenly became fascinating, and I found myself spending hours in the lab. Then I discovered graphics design and started seeing the world differently. I was reading more too - finally understanding why people called books magical.
I'll be honest - this year was less about achievements and more about people. The friendships I'd been building over the years became my anchor. We laughed so much, supported each other through tough times, and created memories I know I'll carry forever. These were my people.
Being made House Prefect was one of my proudest moments. All those years of learning culminated in this responsibility. I had to manage my time perfectly - leading, studying, and preparing to say goodbye. The comeback I made in my studies showed me how much I'd grown. I was ready to move on, but I'd never forget this place.
